How do I get started with STR Squad?

Sign up for a free account, complete the 4-step onboarding wizard (organization details, properties, modules, billing), and you're live. The whole process takes under 10 minutes. Your first property is set up during onboarding — add more at any time from Admin → Properties.

How do I connect my Channex account?

Go to Admin → Integrations and click "Connect" next to the Channex provider. Paste your Channex API key (32+ alphanumeric characters) and hit "Test Connection" to verify. Once connected, your calendar data and pricing signals flow automatically. If the connection drops, Admin → Integrations shows the circuit-breaker status and a manual Reset button.

What channel managers and platforms does STR Squad support?

STR Squad integrates with Channex as the primary channel manager, giving you access to Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and 200+ other OTAs through a single connection. Direct PMS integrations (Guesty, Hostaway, OwnerRez) are available on the Enterprise plan — contact us to set those up.

How does guest messaging automation work?

STR Squad monitors your reservations and fires messages based on three trigger types: time-based (e.g., 24 hours before check-in), event-based (new booking confirmed), and guest-action (inquiry received). AI drafts are generated using your property details and tone preferences — you review them in the Inbox before sending, or set auto-send rules for common scenarios.

Can I add team members to my account?

Yes. Go to Admin → Team and invite co-hosts, cleaners, or maintenance staff by email. Each team member gets a role-appropriate view — cleaners see the Maid Triage dashboard, maintenance staff see the Maintenance Triage dashboard, and co-hosts get full access minus billing. You control permissions from the Team settings page.

What are the subscription plans and pricing?

STR Squad offers three plans: Starter ($29/mo, up to 3 properties), Pro ($79/mo, up to 15 properties, AI messaging + pricing integrations), and Enterprise (custom pricing, unlimited properties, dedicated support, direct PMS integrations). How does dynamic pricing work?

Connect PriceLabs or Beyond Pricing under Admin → Integrations. These providers send pricing signals to STR Squad via webhook. Our pricing engine applies your min/max guardrails, rounds to clean numbers, and pushes the final rate to Channex automatically. You can override any date manually from Admin → Pricing.

How do I set up notifications and alerts?

Notification preferences live at Admin → Notifications. You can toggle email and SMS delivery independently for four event types: new bookings, new guest messages, maintenance alerts, and billing events. SMS requires a connected Twilio number — contact support to enable. In-app notifications appear in the bell icon in the top navigation.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Admin → Billing and click "Cancel Subscription." Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — no prorated refunds. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, giving you time to export anything you need. After 30 days, account data is permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.

How do I get support if I'm stuck?

Email us at support@strsquad.com — we typically respond within 4 business hours. For urgent issues, Enterprise customers have access to a dedicated Slack channel. You can also check the Maintenance Alerts feed in your dashboard for any platform-wide incidents.
